Now the real thing has begun, the battles are awfully good, the adrenaline rushes everytime you defend your flag or attack the enemy base.
And i haven't tried yet the Alterac Valley Battleground, which is much more than a basic fight between two groups...
Of course Blizzard is working on some more battlegrounds to add in the next months, but i'm sure the two battlegrounds available will last at least a month, because when most players will be used to the workings of each map, they will start working some tough strategies, especially for the Alterac Valley, which can become (with talented enough players) a perfect adaptation of RTS games...
I can't wait to step in the Alterac Valley battleground, it will blow my mind i recon.

and yes, MMO games are addictive, but in the case of WoW, it's for reasons non-players cannot understand, bringing in battlegrounds makes it very special, and if we're bored, we'll play some GTA San Andreas ! :D
